Update and a Few Finds

First I want to thank everyone for all the prayers
and well wishes for The Hubbs.
All your support and prayers mean so much to me.

He had an angiogram on Saturday.
It showed one narrowing that was 8.6,
they go in and fix at 8.
So for now his meds have been adjusted,
which should take care of it.
He is home and doing well now.
He says he has quit smoking (it's been 2 days).
Hopefully he means it this time.
He frustrates me so!
He had quit smoking in 2001 after his 1st stent.
The last year, 2009,
after they went in to add another stent (the first one had clogged),
he started smoking again. GRRRR!
Since he started again he's been back in the hospital twice.
Both times, according to the Drs., directly related to the smoking.
So fingers crossed he will quit for the final time.

XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO

OK
On to my Treasure :)

Since I spent most of my weekend in the hospital,
I didn't get to go out and about much.
BUT my oldest and his FiancĂ©e had a yard sale this weekend.
On Friday I took over a load to donate......
Actually, I wanted first dibs! ;) LOL

Aren't these silk flowers pretty?
2 bouquets for me :)

I also scored a huge bag of candle wax
(hmm, how'd she know I was thinking of making some candles?),
2 box fans and a portable heater (ready for Summer and Winter),
2 new packs of Tea Light Candles, one peppermint, one cinnamon.
Sorry no pics of those.

As I was leaving I spied this thingie on an old gate (I think)
leaning against the side fence.

I caught my eye because I thought it was a stirrup.
But it's metal, I thought all stirrups were wood?
I told Brandon to take it off and sell it. LOL
He said you want it?

Well, yeh, but try to sell it first.
He walked over a ripped it off (see the wood still attached!)
and put it in the back of the van.
Yes, I did a little happy dance in my head!!

Haven't thought of where to put it...yet.
But it's cool!
Would make a great hose bib,
if I needed one.

But no worries.
It will find a forever home in the garden somewhere ;)

Long Night and an Etsy Treasury

After sitting in the Emergency Room most of the night
with the hubbs,
it was nice to come home and see this:

A Vintage Holiday Etsy Treasury
by Leah and Ashley from Merivintage.

They chose my Vintage Pearl and Rhinestone Choker
to include in their Treasury.

Now back to hubbs.
He was having chest pain,
he has a heart history,
so I took him to Emanuel Medical Center ER in Turlock.
They went thru the usual routine; labs, EKG, xrays, etc.
and decided to keep him overnight.
On Saturday they will transfer him to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto
and do an angiogram to see exactly what's going on.

We've been down this road many times,
I'm sure he will be ok.
But any prayers would be appreciated.

Is it Spring?

I'm joining these following lovely ladies this week.

Tootsie for Fertilizer Friday over at Tootsie Time

Liz for Fresh Cut Friday over at Rose Vignettes
Liz is also having a wonderful Give Away of
a Fresh Evergreen Arrangement for the Holidays!

This weeks post is short...but sweet..
but even more confusing!

I went for a walk in the gardens looking for bloomers.
Look who I happened upon.

Yep, my Narcissus are blooming!
Can't blame them, our weather has been so crazy.
Last week we had typical Fall weather for this area...
rainy and in the 50's.
This week we are breaking record highs by being in the high 80's!

So needless to say, I'm confused right along with the garden!

Figuring out what to wear for the day is a real challenge. LOL
But with these pretty white blooms,
how can you not smile?

Now for my Fresh Cut Friday Fall Bouquet

Yes, it does look more like a Spring Bouquet :/

Some of my Lilacs gave me a second bloom so I've placed them along with the Narcissus in my Mom's vintage vase.
I have loved this vase ever since I was little. ♥

I need to get in gear and start my Holiday Shopping......
before the stores get any crazier than they already are!

In the mean time I'm joining these party's this week ♥♥

Junkin Finds with Linda at A La Carte

Be sure to visit these wonderful Ladies, you won't be sorry!

I was able to make a quick stop at an Estate Sale.
It was quick because I had an hour left til it ended!
I was hoping to find things marked down.
But they started out pricey and stayed that way :(
Probably why after 2 days of sales,
there were still so many things left!

I did managed to find a couple fun things tho...
don't I always?  ;)

These cute little Snow Babies will find a use somewhere.

This person must have done woodworking/cabinetry/etc because there were 4 storage sheds in the back with tons of that kind of thing in them.
One was full of all different kinds of cabinet knobs and hardware.
It was overwhelming.

I didn't need anything like that
but did find a box with some odds and ends,
which included these fun things.

A couple of odd knobs, handles.
The triangle thing is a foot, top left.
Sure wish I could have found more of them.
It looks old and just plain neat!

There was a coffee can in a corner of one of the sheds.
It seemed to have been over looked by everyone.
Now when we cleaned out the farm,
I remember finding SO MANY coffee cans
with so many different things in them. I swear Mom and Dad must have saved every coffee an they ever opened!

Anyway, I opened this one and found it full of drawstring bags....

stuffed full by the way!!!

Some still have the paper tags attached to them.
I have all my Dad's that we found,
but now I can do/make fun things with these
and save his ;)

Everything I picked up didn't have a price
so I held my breath as I approached check out.
$8.oo for all...
not too bad.
