HOW OLD GUYS PICK UP WOMEN

I am getting on in years and not the best looking guy anymore.
Some would
even say I'm a little frayed around the edges....

But, I have a nice car, a little money, and I spend most of my time casually
traveling from place to place and enjoying life.

I met a nice looking girl in a park the other evening
There was an instant spark between us.

All of a sudden, she did this
cute little dance,
then immediately dropped to her knees and lay on the grass at my feet.

As we lay there making love, I thought .....

"Wow, these Taser guns are really worth the money!!"

It's Going to be a Long Winter.......

if this keeps up!
Yep, the two youngest have had a virus already. Can't blame it on going back to school anymore! Where they got it I don't know. We just need a lot of rain to knock all the germs down!
Let me just say the bathroom was the busiest place in the house ~
As soon as they got it I headed for my EO's.
Since I haven't had my flu shot yet I wasn't about to take any chances!
I added a couple drop to a glass of water and drank it down. There was no way it would have stayed in the boys so I put it in the diffuser so all of us could receive the boost our immune system needed. So glad I had some on hand.
C fell asleep right next to the diffuser and woke up feeling much better. Luckily the virus didn't last long. Seems I can always rely on Sparks Shield to shorten if not keep at bay any "bug" that wants to come our way. We usually rub a drop on before we go into Dr. Offices...we all spend so much time at so many different Specialists (sometimes I think we spend more time there than at home!).
Luckily Sparks Naturals has Shield on sale as Item of the Week
just in time for cold and flu season!
Remember to use coupon code DRAGONFLYTREASURE to receive an additional 10% off your order!
I need to order myself another to be ready for the fight!!

COVERGIRL + Olay FaceLift Effect Firming Makeup & De-Puffer Concealer

I was chosen by BzzAgent to try out and review the new CoverGirl and Olay FaceLift Effect Firming Makeup and De-Puffer Concealer.
Needless to say I was anxious to try these two. After all CoverGirl and Olay have been mainstays in my make-up wardrobe since High School. Whoa, I did not need to go that far back....but these are two brands I trust.

I was a little concerned about trying the CoverGirl & Olay FaceLift Effect Firming Make-up. I don't wear foundation and didn't want to look "made up". But after trying it I have to say I am pleasantly surprised. It's creamy texture went on smoothly and blended well leaving no two tone line.

I used the fair shade and lucked out with it being the right one for my skin tone. I'm anxious to keep using it to see the full effect.
Before blending

After blending
boy do I have hairy arms!
CoverGirl & Olay De-Puffer Concealer was also  in the fair shade. My first try didn't go so well. When they say squeeze a little bit, they mean a LITTLE bit! My heavy hand probably squeezed enough for a week! The concealer is quite thin so comes out easily. My next try was perfect and blended wonderfully. The cool metal tip felt good under my eyes after just waking up.

Although I don't have a major issue with puffiness, I do have some lighter dark circles from time to time. After applying with the metal tip I used my fingers to gently blend it in.

The best thing I was amazed with was that it did not crease at all. At the end of the day I still had no creases. A definite BIG + in my book. It was nice to find out that the De-puffer has Cucumber in it.

So in my opinion both of these are great products for those of us not in our 20's anymore ;)
I plan on continuing to use them and replace them when gone.

I'm a BzzAgent and I received these products from BzzAgent for review.
All my opinions are my own.

Yard Clean Up

Every morning I go out and work in the garden, a bit at a time.
I'm doing a major clean and prune.

Clearing out a lot of dead wood (yep, still removing dead wood ;) )from the Roses and other plants.

Pruning and raking, pruning and raking.......

I don't have any before photos, but let me tell you between the ones growing up and the others growing down, it was like a jungle. similar to this!

Here's my pile thus far for pick up come November. Yes, they only pick up yard waste from November to February...grrr

It gets a little taller and wider each day.
This is from only a portion of the backyard.
I have more sections to still clean up and
we  need to chainsaw the bigger limbs.

Then comes the front yard clean up!

We were lucky to get a bit of rain the other day and it felt SO good.
Even the plants were smiling!
I have lost some to the drought but the well established plants are doing fine - so far.

My Lilacs are really suffering. They have lost all their leaves but one decided it was going to rebloom anyway! So I plucked the sweet smelling flowers and made a little puny bouquet

The two inside the conservatory are dried Roses I happened to put together over the Summer. They reside in little cobalt blue jars.

Good Laugh Therapy!
